Cell Tractions in 3D Matrix

Members of Professor Notbohm's lab study how biological cells adhere, push, pull, and move. This work is inherently multidisciplinary, and we draw on the fields of engineering mechanics, soft matter physics, applied math, and cell biology. Our approach is primarily physical in nature: we believe that through investigating the mechanics of cells and biological materials we will better understand cell biology and develop new treatments to disease.
